Not seen this snippet anywhere else...

I've just been reading the Financial Director's programme notes from Saturday on the OS. He states that there were 10,796 positive responses submitted, and only 33 objectors. That's amazingly overwhelming support.

Well spotted great stats! :)

33....... We're done for, not that I know too much about the number 33.

Council "don't think retail is necessary" at Newlands Park apparently, but support a stadium at Power Court.

Objectively, that would seem to be a sensible position for the Council.

But there is little point in them supporting a stadium at PC if they won't support the retail that will fund it at NP.

I suspect they might see some wriggle room with the other developments planned up there. Isn't it time to start playing some cards...

Here is a link to the letter dated 02nd February from the Inspector to LBC Planning courtesy of Sheff on Outlaws and Eastender for highlighting it.

Thanks for posting it on here Steve.

Not brilliant news on the face of it, but by no means disastrous either.

Agreed it`s not but I would think many would not have expected it to be an easy ride anyway. I still remain positive.

Doesn't sound like there are any alarm bells ringing at this point. Maybe we are destined for this new ground.

My feelings also, cautious optimism for me.

I've read the inspector's report and whilst I agree, there is no need for alarm bells, the need for Luton Council to make major changes will inevitably delay matters as this type of change has time fixed consultation periods built in.

There will be a delay of a few months now before the Council makes their decision.

But what's a few extra months after waiting 60 years I guess?

It is Mark, but reading other social media there are a number who think it`s doom and gloom, my glass is half full.

I'm with you... its a delay of a few months, but nothing more serious than that I don't think.
